And just like that, we're in a new month, which of course means, a new month and theme of iWiB! April's theme is: Career Opportunities.
A career opportunity is a circumstance or a combination of circumstances that results in an occupational chance. These are often fortuitous, such as a new job, promotion or a big break, but can also refer to a last opportunity before being terminated from a job. It can also be thought of as a future with a certain path and the highest level of job you can reach. This is very important to think about this as you choose your major because it could help you to determine your job after college. Some programs offer internships that give you real world experience and can lead to jobs, or give you a sense if it is the right path for you. Majors help to decide our futures, so you need to think of all the opportunities with a job. Some jobs travel, some are sedentary, some are active, there is an option for everyone. This month's event is: Y-WE Career Day on Saturday, April 16th from 10 am to 5:30 pm at UW Bothell More details coming soon! |
